About us

Our program serves 97 children each day, ranging in age from 2 years old to Kindergarten. We offer a year-round, full-day program and do not provide half-day schedules. Parents can drop off and pick up their children between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. 

Our program is play-based and focuses on the overall development of each child. While enhancing a Christ-centered education, we emphasize social-emotional growth through relationship-building and promote brain development through sensory play and thoughtfully designed learning centers.

We offer a balanced combination of teacher-directed and child-initiated activities that are age-appropriate, ensuring the best learning experiences for your child.

We offer breakfast in the early morning, along with healthy snacks in the morning and afternoon. Milk is provided with lunch; however, we do not have a hot lunch program, so children will need to bring their own lunches from home.

Our Philosophy

We believe that children learn through a series of developmental stages, starting with trust in infancy. Establishing trust is essential, and we do this by building strong relationships with children and their families. We promote loving interactions in an emotionally enriched environment where children feel comfortable to grow and mature.

As a play-based program, our goal is to encourage the development of the whole child, with a strong emphasis on social-emotional growth. We provide children with the tools they need to become socially competent and emotionally secure. We offer continuous opportunities for sensory experiences, which are crucial for brain development, along with a focus on fine motor skills to help strengthen their little hands as they begin to write. Our small class sizes and very low teacher-child ratios create numerous learning opportunities, including a language-rich environment, STEM activities, creative expression, and large motor development.

In our Pre-Kindergarten program, we incorporate developmentally appropriate academic concepts to prepare children for kindergarten. This includes activities that help lengthen their attention spans and teach them to follow directions. Children engage in a variety of learning experiences that promote reading, writing, math, and science. Despite the introduction of academic concepts, we continue to prioritize the child's social-emotional development through our low teacher-child ratios.

Additionally, we support each child's unique spiritual growth by nurturing a love for God in a gentle, developmentally appropriate manner each day.

Christian Values

Jenny Hart Early Education Center is a ministry of Shepherd’s Grove Church, and our program is guided by Christian values such as love, kindness, gratitude, and respect for others. While children and families do not need to be Christian to attend, we do ask that all enrolled are comfortable with our faith-based teachings. As part of our curriculum, children enjoy weekly Bible Time in the classroom and participate in a monthly Chapel service, where we come together to learn about God’s love in age-appropriate and meaningful ways.

Lunch Program

We’re excited to offer families the convenience of our new lunch program! You can now order lunch for your child on a monthly basis, choose the full month or specific weeks. Each freshly prepared meal is $7 per day ($35 per week) and delivered right to your child’s classroom by our kitchen team.

Our rotating menu includes tasty, well-balanced favorites like spaghetti and meatballs with garlic toast and fruit, or spam fried rice with edamame and fruit bars. Healthy, delicious, and hassle-free!

This preschool is truly a hidden gem! Before enrolling my child, I had already heard amazing things from friends. One of them even told me that when their kid started here, everything became about “Jenny Hart.” After my child joined, I can absolutely confirm that it’s all true, this school really lives up to its reputation, and I only wish we had found it sooner. The teachers here are not only highly professional but, more importantly, incredibly loving and patient. My child has learned so many valuable selfcare skills using the potty independently, cleaning up after meals, and putting toys back where they belong. He’s also picked up new knowledge like counting, recognizing colors and shapes, and even learning letters and his own name. Every week he proudly brings home drawings and crafts, and he has made so many new friends along the way. Every morning when I drop him off, I can feel the joyful and energetic atmosphere as teachers and children greet each other warmly. In the afternoons, the phrase I hear most often is: “Can I play a little longer?” Whenever I ask, “Do you want us to pick you up earlier or later?” he always answers, “Later, I haven’t played enough yet!” Sometimes on weekends he even wakes up asking to go to school, and when I remind him that it’s closed until Monday, he sighs and says, “But I miss my teachers. I want to see them.” I would like to give special thanks to Ms. G and Ms. B. My child feels so much love and trust from them, and they’ve patiently taught him so many life skills and knowledge. I myself always feel warmth and care in my conversations with the teachers and the directors. The school also organizes wonderful activities, such as Foam Parties, Puppet Shows, and Prehistoric Pets. One of the most exciting moments for my child was being able to touch animals he had never experienced before: a baby alligator, a baby python, a turtle, a lizard, and more. I am so grateful that my child can spend such unforgettable days here. I truly believe that when he grows up, he will look back at his time at this preschool as one of the most precious and joyful memories of his childhood.❤️

Jenny Hart is exactly the kind of preschool we were looking for and we feel so fortunate to have found it! We went on a tour based on a referral from a neighbor (whose kids loved it!) and immediately knew it was different, in the best way. Ms. Alma and Ms. Daneen are incredibly thoughtful and caring—they take the time to get to know each child and family, and it’s clear how deeply they value creating a warm, supportive environment. The teachers are equally wonderful: patient, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile, which makes learning fun and meaningful each day. We’ve seen so much progress and joy in our kids (4.5 year old girl, 2 year old boy), and we couldn’t be happier with the level of care and dedication from the entire team. One of the things we’ve loved most about attending Jenny Hart is the wonderful community of families. It feels like everyone is invested in supporting one another, which makes the preschool experience even more special. Our kids are thriving here, and we feel so grateful to be part of such a caring and connected school. So grateful to find this school/early education center for my son, Sonni. The teachers and staff members are amazing and they all go above and beyond to make sure my child is comfortable as well as the parents. We love that they are so nurturing, positive, warm, caring and the list can go on. They will work with you and try to make the process as easy as possible. The hours are great for parent that work full time. So glad to be a part of the Jenny Hart family and would highly recommend.
